Back at camp

Yesterday was spent in the car driving from Moscow to McCall - with remarkably little road construction. I was surprised because HWY 95 is the only link between north and south for the whole of the state and its always in a state of disrepair. Still, it was a little over four hours through the national forests and some farmlands. Montana has us beat for natural beauty, but I'm a little biased.
The camp itself hasn't changed at all since last year. I have pictures tagged under McCall and possibly camp for anyone who wasn't watching my journal last year when I came down. I do love it here, its so beautiful and peaceful. I think my favorite rule is no cell phones. Mainly because it means I don't have to worry about work calling me until I turn it on again Friday. *evil grin*
I don't think I slept at all last night, mainly tossed and turned, but I did manage to draft out the ending to Bound and a new chapter for First Time. And I actually recall most of what I wrote, so I'll be able to write those up before lunch - I hope - and get them posted. The reason for the rush is I'm in a character and plot development workshop in the afternoon. One of the ladies here wants to learn how to develop both character and plot for fictional works. And I said I'd come along and talk with her about it. I'm going to suggest fan fiction writing as a way to work on plot because the characters are already there and you don't have to worry about them so much. I don't know if she'll go for it, but I know it helps me make my characters and stories better to work with the already established characters sometimes.
