30 days of GAC Day 1

New 30 day challenge time. :) I was going to write about last night's episode, but it was pretty dark and demonic, so we'll leave it at wicked, scary, and way too short. I think we drove past the lockdown location on the move, too. It looked familiar.

Okay, anyway, onto the challenge.

What was the first episode you saw and what was your first impression of it?

Well, I was home alone while my folks were on a trip, it was late at night, I had one light on in the house and i was flipping through channels looking for something to watch when I came across Travel Channel and something called Ghost Adventures. I really wasn't sure what it was, but it looked interesting, so I decided to give it a try. The episode, as best I can remember, was episode 12 of season 7 "Wyoming Frontier Prison" GAC gets locked down at the Wyoming Frontier Prison in Rawlins, Wyoming, where 200 tortured souls still remain incarcerated for their crimes they committed in life and are now serving in death for all eternity. They also investigate the Dean/Summer Home a few blocks away, after hearing the story of the "Garage Witch" that left a woman paralyzed in the house's garage in the 1970s.

That's from wikipedia. I remember thinking that if guys with cameras just came up to me on the street I'd be a little weirded out, so I think that's where I'm remembering this from. It's definitely one of the first I saw, if not truly the first.

The prison lockdown was scary, but at the same time, I was really interested in how they were investigating. Rosie had tried to show me a couple of ghost hunter episodes, but I was never really impressed with them for some reason. I was able to connect with the GAC though, including Billy and Jay. (I really love Billy and Jay). The history brought to the show really caught my attention, and I found that I liked it enough to watch a second episode.

That was pretty much that. I've been hooked ever since. Still trying to track down all the episodes though. The England ones are wicked.
