TDC Pairings

To all my TDC fans out there. What are your favorite pairings for this story??? And who are your favorite non-bonded community members? I just don't want to get into too much trouble here.

Although I have a feeling I already am. *glances under desk* I think I can still squeeze under there.

I am such a fan of this series and eagerly await the next offering. I love all the pairings - well, except the last ones and that's only because I've never heard of this series. Doesn't detract from the charm of the whole picture.

As for the favourite couple. That would have to be Horatio and Greg. Such opposites but just what the other needs. Love them!

As for my fave non-bonded? That would have to be your original character whose name escapes me at the moment (Sorry, blonde moment!) I live in eager anticipation of her future bonder.

Take care

Thanks. :) I'm trying for more backstory on the three new Japanese series I've added it, mainly Prince of Tennis because I know the most about it. Fuma and TGT have remarkably little backstory to them. *sighs*

Got it. (mine too, honestly. But you didn't hear that from me.)

Mandy. No worries. :)

Take care of yourself too.

I'm updating today, once I work out this whole poll thingy.

I LOVE FUJIKO. Even if he does scare me a lot of the time. *snickers* But I honestly think Eiji is my favorite from Seigaku. He's just so cute.

Okay, got 'em. I'm keeping notes here and so far, no overlap. :) But again, I haven't seen the ones I'm thinking about working with, so that a good thing.

I am. I think they are so cute together. Cal just needs someone steady in her life, and Frank needs to be loved.

Well my favourite pairings are Horatio and Greg, Ryoma and Kirikaze and Niou and Yaguu.
My favoutite non-bonded is probably Horatio's nephew Ray.

All my favorites too. Wait, am I supposed to have favorites???? *winks*
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. :)

Got it. Thanks. :)

favorite pairs
I have to say my favorite pairs are the core group you started with. Tony/Gibbs, Mac/Danny, H/Greg, Speed/Eric. I am completely lost with the new pairings I have never heard of this fandom. My favorite non-bonded is Ray. I enjoy reading about his building relationship with his uncle H.

Re: favorite pairs
Got it.
The Japanese fandoms are losing a lot of people. It probably didn't help that I threw in three new shows at once, but they just overlapped so well. :) meh. I'll have to work on their backstory more.

My favorite pairings are (now that you've killed Adam/Mandy) Horatio/Greg and Flack/Abby. Greg is your most colorful character (of the Americans) and I just love Flack.
Aug. 28th, 2010 01:27 pm (UTC)
My favourite pairs... I like them all except the Japanese pairs. I don't watch those shows. I have no desire to watch those shows and the characters completely confuse me. I don't enjoy WAR at all but I am still reading because I really like how you write.
Non-canon I would have to say I like Calleigh/Tripp and Ray
Aug. 29th, 2010 04:27 am (UTC)
I'll tell you a secret then. For a while, every other chapter will have the Japanese characters in them while the others have the American communities. I honestly don't know how long that pattern will last, but for now it'll help you out. :)
Sep. 3rd, 2010 01:39 am (UTC)
I will probably still read all the chapters though. Just in case there is something plot wise I might miss if I don't.
Sep. 4th, 2010 06:49 am (UTC)
all righty. :)
Sep. 8th, 2010 03:44 pm (UTC)
I'm not sure yet. And I still haven't read all of it. I need to take myself some time to just sit down and READ. I've missed reading it, I like it. I'm still at the part with the Miami-community part..2, I think. I have a tab open all the time, but I always end up watching or rewatching some tenimyu. >_> Err.. I wanna come to the part with the characters I know, but I don't wanna cheat. Because so much happens in it all the time.. So I'm NOT skipping a single chapter! ..though my browsers don't like the site. T-T
You've written so MUCH! But I like long storys, because, well.. I don't know, I don't like it when good storys end..
Sep. 12th, 2010 01:31 am (UTC)
Tenimyu has a way of taking over one's life. :) The anime/jdrama characters show up a lot later than where you are, like near the end of Miami Community and into WAR. And I don't have cheat sheets for this one, even I can't always recall what happens and have to go back and look to see what I've done. *sighs*

Maybe your browser would like the other site I post on?? I could give you the link.

It has *grin* Not that I mind though~ I tend to listen to the music and watch clips on the train, bus and in school. Sitting hours up in the art-classroom only hearing classmates talking shit is boring, and music makes it much easier to draw.
And speaking of, in art-class, we're doing a sort of project to deepen our abilities in different areas. I've chosen to learn how to draw dragons~ I'm currently coloring my first picture, the scales are killing me (=_=) but I like it *grin* For being my first non-tired-drawn dragon, neh. ...why do all my dragons always look like horses..? *meeh*

Maybe. We could always try that, neh? *grin*
Sep. 17th, 2010 07:34 am (UTC)
As I've said before, without music I think I'd die. I paid for the iPod docking station for the surveillance department out of my own pocket. We weren't allowed music in school when I was in junior and high schools - and you just don't dare in college - so I had to listen to my classmates. But, then again, as I always needed to know where the next hit was coming from it was probably a good thing I wasn't listening to music at the time. *snorts*

That's awesome. Dragons are hard though. I keep meaning to scan and post the ones I drew a while back - and I can't draw worth a damn - but I don't have a scanner right now. I'll get around to it. Good luck with him (her?). The one thing I was good at, art wise, was sculpture and I'm so out of practice on that too. No time.

Okay, here we go. http://www.squidge.org/~peja/cgi-bin/series.php?seriesid=306
That's the series page. But this is also the site where all my PoT fics go as well.

Oh, and I saw you mentioned the Fuma-manga. I've wanted it over at MangaFox, but nothing happens >_> So I'm thinking I should try finding the version I found ways ago. It was in italian or something, but with dictionaries and stuff, maybe I can translate it a bit..
Have you seen the anime?
Sep. 17th, 2010 07:36 am (UTC)
I haven't even found any version of the manga online. *sighs* Fuma isn't that easy to find anything on.
I've seen bits and pieces of the anime, but I do need to watch it. I know it's up on youtube.
Sep. 17th, 2010 11:39 am (UTC)
I will try to see if I can find the manga, as for the anime, they don't have all of it on YT. And most of it are dubbed. I did find torrent-files a while back, haven't finished watching it yet though. Kagerou looks scary. T^T Let's see.. I should have links at the dA-group... Here is a bit, but not with any english subs, unfortunatley. http://fuma-no-kojiro-fans.deviantart.com/blog/29413408/

That doesn't surprise me. youtube is great, but there's always something missing on there for whatever you want to watch. I got lucky with the supporters 8 DVD looking for where they were talking about Ba-chon losing Masa's racket in DL4. It was actually on there.

Kagerou always looks scary. Esepcially in the musical with that make-up they put on him. :)

I'll take a look. Thanks for the link. Awesomeness.

I like all of the pairings. I like the way that you have traditional pairings along with some I never thought of. I personally LOVE Prince of Tennis I love Sanada and how both teams are kind-of friends. I had never heard of the other two shows but I thank you that you gave links so I could figure them out..Just keep up the wonderful writing and I will keep reading.
Sep. 12th, 2010 01:28 am (UTC)
Re: pairings
Thanks so much. :) I like unusual pairings, but had to throw some traditional ones in here because I couldn't think of anything else. :)
Sanada is awesome, but he scares me at times. Not as much as Yukimura, but still.
Fuma and Tokyo Ghost Trip are weird in that I don't know much about them either, but I've heard they're both unfinished in different ways and, as the manga aren't in English, all I have to go off of is the subbed live dramas.

first of all I have to tell you: YOU ARE AMAZING!

I just found the TDC stories and spent literally the last days and nights to read them all. I could not stop even if it meant that I would be sleep deprived and cranky and snappy to others who did disturb me in reading your beautiful AU. What a great creative mind! I can't wait that you continue with it and am looking forward now what happens in War. God I am so excited... :-)

My favorite bond pairing is definitely: Tony/Gibbs

This is even why I have been reading your stories at all and the reason I found your beautiful AU. In the past I was never really interested in other fandoms than NCIS and other pairings than Tony/Gibbs. So I am always a little bit disappointed that so much other pairings are in your story and do not concentrate mainly on them. But do not worry: I totally understand with all the series you include in your AU that it cannot be mainly 1 pairing you are writing about and it is the firs time ever I really enjoy a crossover at all.

My not-bonded pairing favorite would be Calleigh and Frank.

What pairings I do not like at all: House and Chase. But this has more to do with the fact that I never ever liked the series in TV. I am just happy they do not pop up too often. So I am totally okay with that.

I like the Japanese pairings, even if I have had never seen anything from them before. It was good you put the link to their musical in your story. It helped a lot! I just hope that you will not concentrate too much on them in the future, because I think the most readers so far read your story arch because of the more known series. I think it is more an Asian or maybe even more an Japanese phenomena that this pairings in the tennis world are working at all...

One other thing: I was sooooo sad that you 'killed' Mandy and Adam in your story! I do not know if it happened to Adam in canon or not because I do not really watch the CSI series in TV that often (only if I am really, really bored) but it made me feel so bad. I even needed tissues. I saw you comment some times that a lot of people did not like the character Mandy but to be honest I loved her! Well but since it is your AU I think all Mandy fans have to live with that unfortunately.

What I would wish for the future story line:
- Of course more Tony/Gibbs :-).
- Happy endings and no more character deaths, please.
- All our pairings kicking the hunters asses and a bit more peaceful times in between before a new threat is popping up.
- A little more about one on one time for the bonded pairings in which they can just be happy. (I am a sap I know, but so much bad things happened so far it would be good to see some good things.)

So that was all for the moment. Again: I love this AU and will definitely stay with it and wait anxiously for any updates.
Ride on!

Bye, bye
Yours BA09

Thanks so much. :) I'm really glad you gave the story a try. And am very impressed at how quickly you read everything because, speaking from experience, I know exactly how much is there. *snickers* I don't know that I'd be able to read everything that quickly.

I'm working on updates now. I'm alternating stories with some other fandoms and WIPs, but am also trying to keep fairly steady on TDC now that I have my wind back. There's going to be a pretty major Gibbs/Tony arc coming up here soon, so I imagine that makes you happy. :)

Pairings noted. :) Thanks for trying the musical. I wish I had better links for the other shows because I think it would help out, but they get pulled down too quickly to really do anything with them. I have them downloaded on my external hard drive, so I can get to them whenever I need to.
The Japanese dragons have a pretty major part to play down in Miami and winding up the war, so they'll be around, but I'm going to do my best to bring in all the other pairs as well. I knew the risk I was running bringing them in like I did, and know I've lost some loyal readers because of it too. It saddens me, but I have to go where the story takes me. I have no outline for this piece, I just write it chapter by chapter whatever comes to mind at the time. I have plans where I'd like to go, but don't always get there.

Thanks so much for the post. It made me smile. :) And, after the days I have at work, a smile is a good thing. Enjoy the future updates and let me know what you think!
